We aim to foster a community of students consisting of those who study International relations, as well as
those that have an interest in the field. While IrSoc has a strong social element, our society also aims to
provide students with informal academic support, and to serve as a channel through which students can
contact the Politics and Ir department. We run talks and debates on international relations issues, whilst
enhancing our understanding of other problems through the mediums of international films, meetings
and cultural events. We also have a healthy social calendar, with pub outings, dinners and pub quizzes.
Ultimately, joining IrSoc is a great way to meet people who have a passion for international affairs
